Panel: CSW68 Ending Period Poverty for South Asian Women & Girls
On the sidelines of the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68), BL hosted a parallel event on menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for South Asian Women and Girls.

SLNI Panel: Adult Education’s Role in Rural Development and Transforming Households
The SLNI-hosted session in parallel to CSW68 put the spotlight on adult education as a catalyst for rural development and community transformation. BacharLorai’s Director of Communication added perspectives on adult education, mental health, and youth empowerment.
Workshop: MHM Exploring the Unspoken
The workshop led by Madhuri Kibria, included a keynote on MHM, a myth-busting activity, and an educational presentation by Ashmita Roy. The event also featured a Johari Window Activity, a networking luncheon, and concluded with a fire-side chat between Pushpita Saha from Oxfam International and Shagufe Hossain from Plan International, and was moderated by BL’s Director of Policy Research.

IYC Panel: Role of Youth in Achieving the SDGs in South Asia
Session 36 of the 8th International Youth Conference (IYC8) focused on the role of youth in advancing the SDGs in South Asian countries. BacharLorai’s Director of Strategy, representing Bangladesh on the panel, addressed SDG 4 by pointing out the educational gap between private and public schools in Bangladesh and stressed the importance of cross-sector collaboration to address this issue.

JWF Panel: Civil Society Best Practices in Achieving SDGs
At the 8th Annual SDGs Conference, organized by the Journalists and Writers Foundation alongside 52 civil society organizations during UNGA78, a key session titled "Civil Society Contributions in achieving the SDGs: Best Practices" was held. This panel, featuring BacharLorai’s Director of Strategy among other global leaders, focused on the critical role of civil society and NGOs in advancing the SDGs, emphasizing digital social innovation and community engagement.

Impact Social: Fall 2023 New York City
BacharLorai’s Impact Socials which fall within the pillar of ‘Community Building’, serve as a platform for fostering a sense of community and belonging among members of the diaspora scattered across different cities, providing them with opportunities to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships. The impact socials serve as avenues for educational and professional networking, enabling members of the Bangladeshi community access resources, mentorship, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Workshops: International Youth Day in Bangladesh
BacharLorai partnered with Light to Life for International Youth Day 2023 to advocate for mental health, climate action, and youth empowerment. Harnessing his expertise at the "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World" event, BacharLorai’s Director of Policy Research engaged over 200 young individuals on vital conversations about sustainable practices and the importance of integrating SRHR in climate discourse.
