Context

The International Youth Day 2023, hosted by Light to Life in collaboration with BacharLorai, centered on building 'Green Skills' among youths to prepare them for a sustainable future. Aftab Ahmed, BacharLorai’s Director of Policy Research, played a prominent role in leading workshops and discussions focused on youth empowerment, mental health, and sustainable development. Over 200 youths nationwide participated in the weeklong event, which included the "United in Mind" workshop on mental wellness, as well as a free eye screening session in partnership with Prime Bank Eye Hospital, reflecting BacharLorai's commitment to accessible healthcare for underserved communities.

Ahmed also contributed to a session exploring the intersection of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and climate change, showcasing BacharLorai's integrated approach to health education and environmental advocacy. The Green Skills Workshop in Jashore Shimulia further highlighted the importance of sustainability and eco-consciousness in youth education, aligning with BacharLorai's policy research initiatives. Labib Tazone Utshab, Founder of Light to Life, reinforced the shared vision of empowering an educated and proactive younger generation.
